Overview of the Japan Society for Occupational Health

Official name Japan Society for Occupational Health (JSOH)
Purpose This society aims at the scientific promotion of occupational health, prevention of occupational disease and promotion of worker health, thereby contributing to the development of society and science in Japan.
Activities To accomplish these purposes, the society conducts the following.

(1) Holding of scientific meetings, lectures, workshops, etc. on occupational health

(2) Publishing academic journals, academic books, collection and compilation of materials related to occupational health

(3) Recommendation of Occupational Exposure Limits and various standards for occupational health.

(4) Education, training and certification for related professional careers

(5) Forming committees on occupational health, Expert committees and Research groups etc.

(6) Investigative research on occupational health

(7) Other achievements required for the purposes of this society
